Is Birdsedge on your map?

Birdsedge is on the A629 between Huddersfield and Penistone. The Village Hall is on the main road in the middle of the village -- right on the roadside, near the school and the mill. The car park is small and can only accommodate about six cars. For safety reasons this car park is not in use during 'After-School Club' hours.

PARKING FOR THE VILLAGE HALL
We have permission to park in the school playground outside of school hours. During school hours, we suggest you park off the main road, up the lane by the school. The turning is within 100 yards of the hall. If you are travelling south, turn first right after the hall. If travelling north, turn left before the hall. After dark you need your lights on if you park on the main road.
PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE OFF-ROAD BAYS OPPOSITE THE HOUSES ON THE MAIN ROAD. THIS IS PRIVATE PARKING FOR RESIDENTS ONLY - AND WE WANT TO KEEP THEM AS OUR FRIENDS.

PARKING FOR THE FESTIVAL (Second Saturday in July.)
Orange Badge holders, festival performers, staff and stallholders may park in the school yard. Please be nice to our steward.
All other festival attendees will see parking stewards directing traffic. Parking is available down by the Mill (opposite village hall) and on-street parking is available along the main road and up Birdsedge Lane. Please take sensible precautions when parking near farm fields.
